Mission: Assassination of a Nuisance

He he stood once more at the halls of the dead, it had been nearly a week since he last came to this placebut ths time he was not just passing time. Eer since his little run in with the pathetic prisoner in the sewers the night before Shitai had been plotting ways to make this man suffer, his kikaichu agreed that the man must die and that an appropriate way to do so was with their aid. He had to apologize to them, there were orders that this traitor MUST be stabbed through his spine in a sense of irony as he was nothing more than a back stabbing coward. They were disappointed by this but demanded to be his main tool in bringing him to this point right before the final blow and he agreed fully.

The doors once more stood in front of him but before he pushed them open he paused and remembered what was in there before, a long twin set of mummies that were quite the handful to take care of, knowing what was in there now suggested that the interior had changed quite a bit, a kaguya would take care of undead with no problem but them again he was built to take out a kaguya in return so he took the handles and threw the doors open to see what had changed.

What he saw was not expected, the front room had completely changed and was now lit with half a dozen torches scattered throughout the room to cast dim light in most of the area within. There was almost nothing remarkable inside the room except for a large pit nearly six feet across and twelve feet deep, that could be useful for him as well as his foe so he would need to be careful around it. He stepped inside and caught sight of this supposed Death's Shadow but his vision started blurring and he saw double of him. In addition his kage that had been behind him seemed to have disappeared. This was odd, Haji was probably in the shadows waiting to strike but the doubles confused him. The enemy was a master of genjutsu but his clan was known for powerful taijutsu and as of now it seems to be just that, a simple physical show of power and he held his head as he waited to see what the hell was going on.

The man was awaiting someone to finally find out his hiding place. He was pacing the corridors of the former Sabakukage tombs and was flipping a set of keys in his hands. A tool that he used as a weapon and as a lock mechanism. He had stolen the master keys from the Sabakukage when he was but a child. It was an easy task. His bones quivered with anxiety as he heard the door push open, the creak was enough to make him giggle as a school girl would. Another ninja was coming to add himself to Akizu's collection of bones. He gave a shout of glee that would echo through the entire tomb as he slowly walked himself to the entrance. Upon his previously planned procedure, the door had closed on que, and now the enemy was trapped

Haji entered the Halls beside his young student. This nuisance would be brought down today, and Haji would ensure that with his assistance he would be. This fool had troubled the land for years now, and it was damn near amazing that he had lived this long. No doubt he survuved off the remains of ninja who had taken this mission before and never came back. This enemy was a beast that needed to be hunted, and Haji was the hunter, as Shitai was the bullet. The mission was the gun. The door closed behind them and locked within an instant. He had trapped them. The kaguya thought he had the upperhand, but Haji had a plan of his own, as he sulked into the dark shadows in the corner, away from the torch light. Signaling his ninja to stay where he was. It was best the enemy didn't know Haji was there. He awaited for the man to show himself.

As he looked closer and closer at the enemy Shitai started to feel uneasy about the technique he had assumed to be a powerful taijutsu. If the kaguya had indeed been using physical power then he would need to be moving about in order to maintain these false clone images and doing that would set up at least a tiny bit of a dust cloud around the feet. He observed and found that nothing was there so this must actually be a genjutsu after all.

Shitai smirked and chuckled at his opponent as he realized the low quality of the illusion as well, probably nothing above a simple D rank so it would be easy enough to break out of just as soon as the preparations were made, the Aburame boy formed his hand seal combination to free himself of this illusion in a moment while he sent out the true terrors to deal with the shadow of death.

From the souls of his bare feet Kikaichu crawled directly into the sand to remain undetected until they needed be revealed. The warriors traveled quickly through the shifting earth low enough below the surface that the disruptions they caused would not be noticed. Finally they were in place and Shitai smiled, the insects sprang up in groups to attacks every image of the kaguya at once with enough left in the ground to prepare a strike on on more single opponent which would be revealed soon enough.

The Kaguya cackled as he worked his way down the hallway. His loud scream had surely trapped any ninja lower than a B rank ninja within his Genjutsu. He was proud of his skills, and his brain was mad and full of blood that wasn't his own. He had trapped many in it before, and would creep upon their still bodies, then rip their throats out with his extended finger bones. Then he would use the torch fire to cook his enemy til edible, while sippin upon their blood. He hummed to himself as he came into the front torchlit room and would notice the young Aburame standing at the front of the room, looking paralyzed and lifeless as the others before him. The boy must be seeing the multiple renditions of himself as well as trying to provide a counter to it. It would be pointless. He flipped the keys around in his hands as he stepped around the large pit and closer to the male. He was hoping it would be a woman this time, so he could defile the body before festing on it, but this would have to do. He smirked heavily at his still opponent. He extended the bones in his fingers and slowly came closer. His genjutsu would show five more of him appearing out of nowhere and whispering to the boy that his death was near. For in fact it was.

Haji waited in the shadows until he saw the man appear in the torch light. His ninja hadn't made a motion yet, so Haji instantly knew that he was trapped within a genjutsu. He had to dispell it, and would do so in a very fashinable manner. However, he would still leave the ninja room to prove himself. He leapt from the shadows as the man extended his bones from his fingers and cracked the man squarely in the jaw. This would effectively release the chunnin from the Genjutsu and leave the makn skidding into the left far wall. Haji would then again retreat to the shadows completely masked from site. He struck swiftly. He struck perfectly unseen as a ninja should be.

Shitai completed his final seal as something released him from the illusion early, this was perfect. As his insects all sprang up from the ground he caught the eye of the Kaguya that was now perfectly in his sights. He cast an illusion of his own but the previous insects would act as a perfect logical cover up so that it wouldn't be sensed as genjutsu.

Instantly the kaguya saw hundreds of thousands of kikaichu spring forth from beneath the sands and then they started making their way towards him. The massive amount of insects was large enough within the illusion that he would be completely surrounded and they would creep up his legs and arms until they began biting down and causing fake pain that the brain would register as if he were actually under attack by this giant legion of insects.

Shitai smirked and raised his hand up, the remaining kikaichu underground sprang up and latched themselves onto the trapped enemy to begin sucking chakra down their throats and into the stomachs. This would no end the fight but it ould show that this Chunin was not to be taken lightly. He drew his baseball bat and held it in the inside pockets of his elbows as he bent them up together to perform another series of hand seals to follow up his assault on the enemy.

While Shitai performed his hand seals some of the illusion kikaichu started to burrow into the enemy's skin, this would feel completely real to him as it happened and would not sit well as the insects were known for biting through nerves.

The man found himself swarmed with these bugs, that had come from out of nowhere. As he stood from the blow, his eyes became blood shot and fierce. His bones would explode from his body in sharp spikes wherever he felt the crawling of these pests, destroying them without question. A smidgeon of his chakra would be relenquished from him. He would scream again, but found it to no avail to trap him within the next genjutsu. He was in one himself, and would quickly charge his kai to dispel this foolish attempt at a genjutsu. He was getting fed up within this little game. This kid was not like the others.

Haji would smirk from the shadows as the swarm of insects would ensue the man. The kid had him in a prime position, but to attack him while in the genjutsu would be foolish. It would break him from it, and he wasn't prepared to allow that to happen. He manipulated the Diamond from his inner vest to coat the bat of the Chuunin, so that when it underwent transformation to a katana, the blade would forever be entrusted with the cutting power of diamond, a little gift from his Kage.

As a master of genjutsu himself Shitai saw that there would be a genjutsu dispersal soon so he completed his hand seals a new form of himself appeared next to the original. The pair of twins looked at each other and nodded, the clone rushed forward at the soon to be free kaguya to try and place a clean right hook against his jaw. What was unknown was that this clone was created entirely of kikaichu so if the body was attacked the insects would latch onto their target anyway and start feeding away without a second thought

The real Shitai held back and he took note of what his kage was doing to aid him from the shadows and changed his weapon from the physical form of a baseball bat to that of a fully functional katana. The blade of the weapon was endowed with the diamond crystal powder inside it's molecular structure now and it would be a permanent part of the weapon to add to its strength. He grinned and started to charge chakra into his palm and he took his newly reinforced sword and made his way in to attack behind his clone, this kid was annoying to anyone he fought but he had a perfect winning streak he needed to keep going for a little while longer at least.

Upon dispersal, the man felt an attack would ensue as he was released, and out of instinct, administered a body flicker to the opposite end of the room. He had become annoyed with this little shit. He would extent his forearm bones to protrude from his skin, a foot long each. Two nine inch spikes would follow behind them on each arm. He was going to destroy this little insolent being. He began charging chakra.

Haji sat in the shadows watching what would happen. The chunnin was doing very well so far. This fool would be taken down shortly, it was just a matter of his next mistake so Haji would just wait for the deathblow to come from the shadows and deliver his decree.

The clone missed his swing but the real Shitai had enough of a chance to refocus where to place his next attack. He located the kaguya shinobi just as soon as his body flicker took him across the room and the chakra he had been charging up had attracted a large enough number of kikaichu to make the infamous weapon of th Aburame, the bug bullet. He opened his palm and a small swarm of kikaichu wer launched at a giant speed of ten miles per hour and would continue to travel that fast until they met their mark. The use of a body flicker drained any level of shinobi so it was highly probable that it would land on their mark exactly and burrow deep into the abdomen.

The two Shitais however had a chance to regroup with each other and once more set up an attack. This time the clone drew his weapon which was still in the form of a baseball bat since he had been created before the swap. The real shinobi held his katana in a warrior's grip and the pair went in for the kill. The cone came around the left side to swing at the enemy's temple while the real deal came up on the right and swung low to try and take of the enemy's knees with his new diamond reinforced blade.

Nothing was certain but this shinobi had bit off much more than he could chew when he tried fighting against an Aburame, after all they weren't considered one of the two strongest clans in the entire gust country for nothing.

The man had felt a small sting in his abdomen as he drew his bones, he figured nothing of it, but his chakra was over half empty, so he would have to resort to his taijutsu. As the clone and the warrior came upon him, he would throw a boned arm up at the bat, hook it in his bones, and swiftly hop back and pull the clone in the way of the slash, causing it to disperse into it's whord of insects. He would then leap out and tackle the Aburame as his motions left him open for a high speed attack. The blade would be knocked from the young man's hands upon the impact of the tackle, and it would carry both of them well away from the whord of insects. The Aburame was pinned down now, with no chance of escape as the Kaguya would look upon him with his crazed bloodshot eyes. He reared his right hand back to deliver the final blow. He was going to ram his forebone into that shitty little head of his and then feast on his brains raw. This meal had fight in him. It was stimulating to say the least.

Haji would see this highspeed tackle ensue, and upon landing he would wait to see what would happen. Akizu had the young man pinned, his knees pressed on his hands while his hind end sat upon his knees. The boy had no way to escape, so once again, Haji stepped in. As the Kaguya would reach up with his right fore hand to strike the ninja down, Haji was instantly at his left side, and delivered a sternum crushing kick to the man's breastbone, causing the protective plate of his ribcage to shatter like a glass ornament. He would be sent hurdling back gasping for his breath as his own blood would fill his mouth.

the man would hit the wall and slump down, his vision blurred then reinstated itself as he caught a glimpse of the Sabakukage himself. He had no chance, he was set up. So with any case, the man leaned forward on his hands and knees and crawled towards them, begging, crying, pleading for dear mercy. His chakra was somehow failing him, and his vision was blurring again. He didn't want to die here, not like this.

" Do not beg for mercy that you did not grant to others. Do not cry for the sanctity of sustaining your life."

Haji would grab the man by the hair and lift his head to his. He leaned his face in close to his, his eyes meeting the bloodshot watery eyes of his Chunnin's new victim as his voice trailed to a harsh whisper.

" And do not plead for a bargain that I have not decreed upon you. You shall die here. And that is by my decree."

He had been both tackled and pinned but then freed all within such a short window of time tha he could't really keep up with that was going on, but when he got up to his feet and heard Haji's last line he instantly remembered exactly what would come next. He walked a few feet over and picked up his katana before rotating it over in his hand as he contaminated his method for this kill. He wanted to have some fun with this guy even if he did respect him for his genjutsu abilities, these abilities were not enough to keep him alive though so it was about time they were snuffed out.

He stopped his sword in an instant and slowly turned to his victim, his face looking extremely evil with a full face grin and the wild eyes of a serial killer. He walked slowly with one step at time, one foot directly in front of the other to add in a type of unstable wobble to his walk and revealing more details concerning his mental state.

He got closer and looked into his eyes before raising his right hand up with his index and thumb in a ready to snap position. "You don't deserve life, I will take it from you now but first let's take something else." A snap and the kaguya was writhing in pain as the kikaichu inside his abdomen started biting down and ripping his flesh away from the bone. The screams could be heard outside the heavy stone doors of the hall but no one was there to listen as he slowly started to die.

Another snap before he lowered his hand and the kikaichu started coming out his face, some from the nasal cavity while other gnawed through the jaw. A couple pushed their way around his eyes even to add to the gruesome scene before returning to their master. "You are nothing but a traitor, thus us it fitting you die by being stabbed in the back by the people whom you have do so so many times, say good bye while anyone can still hear you." He walked around and picked up his blade, he placed the tip on the crevice between to spinal plates. He smiled and lifted his fist before pounding down hard of the end of his weapon, causing it to shoot straight into his victim and then stop just as it came out the other side.

He twisted the blade around so the the blade faced up and started lifting it through the rest of the spine, splitting the bones easily as it traveled along and exited right before hitting the nerve that connected the spine directly to the brain. He removed his weapon and grabbed the keys, he tossed them to haji and prepared to exit with his boss while their victim laid there unable to move forever while dying in such a fitting place.

Haji caught the keys and gave a smile. This little exterminator of his was quite the useful ninja, and it gave him pleasure inside that his villagers were becoming what he needed them to be. Ruthless individuals. He spun the keys in his hands and turned to the door, sliding a key through the lock, and activating the tumblers. The door would open to the chilling breeze of the darkness outside, and they would take their leave. The Halls of the Dead. What a fitting place to die.
